The HTA is a community tennis organization open to all player levels. We have been playing together as an association since 1975. Currently, we have four ladders: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. The annual membership fee ($25 for individuals and $35 for families) entitles you to play on as many ladders as you want. Ladders run from April 15 through September 30. You don't have to live in Huntington to be a member, but most matches are played in and around the Huntington, Long Island area.

To join the Huntington Tennis Association, please register at Global Tennis Network, click on Find a Network and enter Huntington Tennis Association. Click Join Network. Once you’re approved you can choose the ladder(s) you’d like to join and click Join Ladder. At some point during the process you will be taken to a PayPal page to pay the membership fee. If you'd like a family membership or if you’d prefer to pay by check, please email me for payment instructions.

Once you're approved you can view the names of the players on the ladder you'd like to join and challenge in anywhere you want. You can call or email a player you'd like to challenge. You have two chances to win a challenge match by June 30 before you are placed at the bottom of the ladder. Once you're on the ladder you can challenge a player simply by clicking the Challenge link next to their name.

For more information on how the ladders work, please click on the Rules link on this page as well as the Rules tab on our network page on the Global Tennis Network site. If you have any further questions, please email me.

First-Annual Season-KIckoff Picnic
POSTED 4/21/17
We're all set for our season-opening picnic at Syosset-Woodbury Park on Monday, May 29 from 12-4pm. What a great way to spend Memorial Day!

The HTA will be providing refreshments and tennis balls, but please keep in mind the park has a no-alcohol policy. We want to make sure we get invited back in the future. :-)

I set up an event on Global, so please RSVP. If you know anybody who might be interested in joining the HTA please invite them as well. The fee for guests will be $10 to offset the costs, but it can be applied toward 2017 membership dues. About a week before the event, when I have an idea how many people are coming, I'll set up a round-robin tournament.

Looking forward to a great season. Nancy

2017 Kickoff Picnic
POSTED 4/14/17
Let's get the season started with a Memorial Day get-together to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. Bring whatever you want to play with--racquet, frisbee, football, your spouse, and even some guests who might be interested in joining the HTA. More details will follow, but I just wanted to put this out there so you can all mark your calendars. Nancy

Huntington-Farmingdale Tournament
POSTED 9/18/16
Well, we had a great day of tennis today. The weather held out and we had only a few drops of rain. We did manage to take four courts: women's singles (Nancy Lang-Feldman, Susan Haines and Debbie Catton) and first mixed doubles (Monica Kulis and Neal Alexander), but we needed eight to take home the trophy. Of course, it's always nice to win, but that's not the most important thing. What is important is the opportunity to spend a great day enjoying the sport we all love with our friendly rivals, the Tennis Association of Farmingdale. So feel great about yourselves, everyone who was able to participate today. You are all awesome!  Nancy

Photos of the event are posted in the Photo Gallery of this webiste.

2016 HTA Season
POSTED 3/16/16
Hello everyone and welcome to the 2016 HTA season. All the ladders are set up, so feel free to join whichever ladders you want. I'm also trying a mixed singles ladder again. It's an anything goes format. No rules, no match minimum; just play for fun. As always, the HTA membership fee is only $25 for individuals and $35 for families. If you'd prefer not to use PayPal, or you're joining as a family, please mail me a check. Shoot me an email if you don't have my address. Happy hitting! Nancy

End-of-Season-Party
POSTED 1/21/16
Our end-of-season party is scheduled for Saturday evening, February 20, from 5pm to 9pm at Kings Park Sportime. We will have seven courts with one to be set aside for drills with a pro, so there is enough space for 30 people. This is the HTA's 40th anniversary, so we're going to try to make this event extra special. For more information and to RSVP and register for the event, log onto the Global Tennis Network and check out the Events section of the HTA Network.

Farmingdale Tournament
POSTED 9/30/15
Well, we didn't win, but I'm told it was a beautiful day and everyone had a fun time. Congrats to our women's singles players, Susan Haines, Debbie Catton and Donna Dubinsky, on their wins, and to our women's doubles team of Lisa Newell and Gigi Banks, and our men's doubles team of Kevin Diblasi and Shane Lefebvre on theirs. And a big thanks to our vp, Cyndi Leventhal, for coordinating everything and making sure the day went smoothly. Next year, we are going to take home the trophy. I can feel it. In the meantime, stay tuned for info about our end-of-season party. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the HTA, so we're going to make it extra special. Best regards, Nancy
